England sends Super Falcons packing in Round of 16. England has qualified for the 2023 Women’s World Cup quarterfinals after defeating Nigeria via penalty kicks on Monday morning.

The game ended 0-0 after 120 minutes as both sides matched each other up.

The Lionesses played out the last 20 minutes of regulation time with 10 women after Lauren James was shown a red card for stamping on Michelle Alozie.

But the Super Falcons failed to take advantage of their numerical advantage.

Desire Oparanozie and Alozie missed for Randy Waldrum’s men as they exited the tournament despite impressive performances.
