Tinubu retires NIMC Boss Announces Replacements. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed that the Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, begin a 90-day pre-retirement vacation.
According to a brief statement made on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, the order takes effect on August 24, 2023, and will eventually lead to the director’s retirement on November 24, 2023.
The President also confirmed Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote’s appointment as Acting Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for a 90-day term beginning August 24, 2023.
Following the 90-day acting period, Coker-Odusote will begin a four-year tenure as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO on November 24, 2023.
In addition, President Tinubu approved the nomination of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as Director/CEO of the Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).
This follows the recent expiration of the tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi. This appointment takes immediate effect.
