Tinubu a better ally than Atiku, Kwankwaso, Ohanaeze tell Obi

Tinubu a better ally than Atiku, Kwankwaso, Ohanaeze tell Obi. Yesterday, the Chidi Ibeh-led faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo advised Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi to stand alone or even partner with President Bola Tinubu, rather than align with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar or New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

In a statement issued in Abakaliki, Secretary General Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro stated, “There is a possibility that their talks will fail because Nigerians will not accept Atiku or Kwankwaso as alliance leaders.” Nigerians understand that Atiku Abubakar’s uncharitable nature and desperation will never enable him to back Peter Obi as opposition leader.

“In the future, the ill-fated journey of Atiku, Obi, and Kwankwaso will crumble.” Nigerians are urging the LP presidential candidate to be aware of failed politicians searching for a way to utilize Obi’s reputation and popularity in order to remove President Bola Tinubu.

“Nigerians are keenly watching the latest attempt of drowning politicians to use Obi to wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the future. The indelible stain of such alliance talks, among Atiku, Kwankwaso and Obi, will destroy Peter Obi, if he, Obi, decides to play second fiddle.

“Ohanaeze warns Obi that his association with Atiku and Kwankwaso will destroy him unless the two support him in leading a united opposition political party, which is unlikely.”

“Peter Obi should work with Tinubu rather than the duo of Atiku and Kwankwaso,” the message said. If Peter Obi continues to play second fiddle, he will lose the support from Nigerians. Ndigbo asks him to withdraw from the coalition discussions.”
