Just In: Tinubu meets PDP governor behind closed-door in Aso Villa. President Bola Tinubu is currently in a meeting with the Enugu State governor, Peter Mbah, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Mbah was part of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday.
The purpose of the meeting is not known as at the time of filing this report.
During his first meeting with Tinubu in June, Mbah, who is a governor under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), opened conversations on the release of the self-acclaimed leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
He also appealed for the assistance of the Federal Government to explore the abundant mineral resources in Enugu State for the benefit of the people.
