Atiku and PDP to Address World Press Conference Today On Presidential Tribunal. Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, will address a global press conference today.
The development comes after the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) dismissed Atiku’s petition against President Bola Tinubu.
Following the ruling of the Presidential Tribunal, Atiku’s Lead Counsel, Chris Uche (SAN), stated that his client had instructed him to file an appeal with the Supreme Court.
“The judgement has been delivered, but we have not received justice,” he stated. Fortunately, the law has provided us with the means to file an appeal with the Supreme Court. Our clients have directed us to proceed to the Supreme Court. “The fight goes on.”
Meanwhile, Atiku and the PDP’s Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagun, have announced that they will address the international press on the development.
The meeting, which will be held at the NEC Hall on the ground floor of the PDP National Headquarters, is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
“Hello Gentlemen of the Press, good evening,” was the invitation given to journalists by the party’s National Director of Publicity. This is to invite you to a press conference where the Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun, and the PDP Presidential Candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, GCON, will speak.”
